With temperatures dropping to as low as -0.4°C in Rajasthan, the harsh winter continues to impact the region, making everyday life a challenge for homeless and underprivileged communities. Without the basic necessities of warm clothes and coverings, children and adults face unbearable winter conditions that impact their daily lives severely. Recognizing the need to support young souls during this cold, Programmers.io organized an initiative by partnering with Samarpan Sanstha.
Supporting Well-being and Education
The Programmers.io team revisited Samarpan Sanstha, an orphanage in Rajasthan, to spread hope and warmth among the bereaved girls during this difficult season. Led by Nirmal Khatri, Vice President of Technology, the team of 10-12 members was delighted to reunite with the children and experience their happiness. While engaging with the children, learning about their educational progress, and hearing their pains during this season, the team distributed woolen school uniforms and stationery. The smiles that lit up their faces on receiving the essentials reflected the profound impact of the initiative.
“Rajasthan’s bitter winters pose a barrier to young children’s education and growth since attending school becomes difficult,” said Nirmal Khatri. “Through this initiative, we tried to shield them from the harsh weather and nurture their ambitions. The most rewarding part of the day was learning about their academic progress and witnessing their resilience. Their smiles and enthusiasm were a powerful reminder of our purpose, that is, to bring warmth, hope, and the promise of a brighter future.”

The third CSR activity organized by Programmers.io reflects their unwavering commitment to ensuring a sustainable livelihood for less fortunate children. By distributing warm clothes and stationaries, the organization not only ensured that the children overcame the cold season comfortably but also enabled them to focus on their education and growth.
