TechChannel has announced the 2022 winners for this year’s IBM Rising Stars program that recognizes outstanding innovators who have worked with the IBM i Power Systems software for five years or less. Formerly known as IBM Fresh Faces, the Rising Stars initiative illuminates the accomplishments of a handful of next generation visionaries as they push the boundaries of what’s possible with IBM i Power Systems.
Programmers.io is honored and humbled that two of our developers, Anurag Garg and Amit Sharma, were named to the 2022 distinguished list along with ten other Rising Stars from around the world. The talent and accomplishments of the winners are detailed in the TechChannel website’s October 12, Trends blog post.
Anurag Garg is a Programmers.io developer recognized as a dedicated Python enthusiast with experience in machine learning and data science, focusing on open-source integrations. Garg is especially drawn to modernizing greenscreen technologies with JSON and JavaScript.
Programmers.io developer, Amit Sharma, is making waves on the IBM i AS/400 platform using his expertise in a web-based user interface. In addition to his projects with Programmers.io, Amit shares his expertise in social media, where he guides those new to IBM i technologies on his YouTube channel, “Tech Sharmit.”
The challenge of excelling in the midst of difficulty during CoVid-19 impacted how tech teams worked in 2021. The innovation this year’s candidates exemplified, with their IBM i knowledge and expertise, is inspirational and showcases that this group of men and women are on the rise.
