In an effort to support and uplift populations in need, Programmers.io has distributed new winter uniforms, essential items, and school supplies to the orphaned children under care at Samarpan Sansthan, a non-profit organization in Jaipur, India.
The event, part of the company’s ongoing commitment to community outreach, is centered on combatting the heartbreaking issues faced by underprivileged children daily. Home to approximately 31 million orphaned and abandoned children, India has surged to help this debilitating issue with an increase of 3,010 childcare institutions in 2024 alone.
Programmers.io is proud to aid in these efforts and is dedicated to helping and raising awareness on issues like child labor, child marriage, malnutrition, lack of education and illiteracy, and empowering young girls and women in India.
Making a Lasting Impact
Held on this year’s Republic Day, a team of 12 volunteers were a part of this CSR initiative. Programmers.io’s Nirmal Khatri and Vishal Pareek performed the Flag Hoisting Ceremony before the team attended the various cultural activities being held by Samarpan Sansthan. The girls were the real stars of the show, participating in activities like singing patriotic songs, dancing, and performing skits or dramas that depicted historical events.
Volunteers were able to speak with the children and other staff members as they distributed supplies. The team has expressed a deep gratitude for this invaluable opportunity to connect with the youth and hear about some of the issues they have faced firsthand.
The Programmers.io team is grateful for a memorable experience and the wonderful performances put on by the children at Jaipur. The company aims to continue their efforts and provide fulfilling and charitable opportunities for their community and staff.
