“The simplest acts of kindness are by far more powerful than a thousand heads bowing in prayer.” – Mahatma Gandhi
With the upcoming Deepawali festivity, Rajasthan and the rest of Northwest India prepare for a harsh winter. The advent of such severe weather conditions increased the need for necessities like clothing, especially among disadvantaged communities. Clothing, a simple yet essential resource, becomes a critical layer of protection during the cold season, especially for children. To act against this, Programmers.io stepped forward with a timely Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Programmers.io conducted a second CSR event in collaboration with Samarpan Sanstha, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting underprivileged women and children, that acted as a measure to combat the ruthless winters and a ray of joy for orphaned children.
A Step Towards Spreading Joy and Future Sustainability
On their second visit to the organization, the power-packed team from Programmers.io led by Nirmal Khatri, Vice President of Technology, was delighted to witness the warm welcoming faces of the children. They distributed new apparel and garments to over 60 children, ensuring each child could enjoy the festival and be fortified during the cold months. Overjoyed with the re-visit, the children and the team engaged in meaningful interactions and created memories that sealed a bond for a lifetime.
“Festivals like Deepawali are a time to come together and share happiness with those around us. Through this initiative, we wanted to make sure that these children feel the joyousness of the celebrations and the warmth during the winter just like any other child. Their merry faces and vibrant smiles were the most rewarding part of the day”, shared Nirmal Khatri.
Addressing Present and Future Requirements
Through this well-thought and planned initiative, Programmers.io wanted to create a positive impact in the lives of these children. By offering new clothes, the team not only helped the children enjoy the festivity to the fullest but also ensured they overcame the chilly season warmly and comfortably.
Programmers.io plans to continue engaging in activities that create positive social impact, promote well-being, and support deprived communities.
