Experience Required: 5 to 15 Years

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain data extraction and integration solutions for IBM z/OS mainframe environments.
  • Analyze and interpret mainframe file structures, including:
    • VSAM
    • Sequential Files
    • COBOL Copybooks
    • DB2 for z/OS Tables
    • JCL Processes
  • Perform data profiling, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues across source and target systems.
  • Support data migration and mainframe modernization initiatives.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, process diagrams, and operational runbooks.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote development best practices.

Required Experience
  • Experience working with IBM z/OS mainframe environments.
  • Strong understanding of COBOL Copybooks, VSAM files, DB2 for z/OS, and JCL.
  • Experience designing and developing enterprise ETL/data integration solutions.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with enterprise ETL tools such as Informatica, DataStage, or Talend.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and Shell Scripting.
  • Experience supporting large-scale mainframe modernization programs
