Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and optimize databases across DB2 (z/OS & AIX), SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, and Azure SQL environments.
  • Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning activities.
  • Support database security, access controls, and compliance requirements (PCI-DSS).
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and business teams on database design and optimization.
  • Automate repetitive DBA tasks using Python or PowerShell.
  • Participate in on-call support and production issue resolution.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of Database Administration experience in enterprise environments.
  • Strong expertise in IBM DB2 on z/OS (REORG, RUNSTATS, COPY, RECOVER, JCL, RACF, TMON).
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, and IBM DB2 on AIX.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Linux/Unix, AIX, and database security best practices.
  • Exposure to Snowflake, Azure SQL, and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Strong SQL, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
