Experience Required: 5 to 13 Years
Supports the enterprise portfolio of electronic data interchange (EDI) application software solutions, data integration and translation services, related systems, methods, processes, tools, and personnel required to service company business operations.
This role requires intermediate technical and business knowledge in the support and development of EDI and System Integration functions, both in-house developed and purchased software including but not limited to the following functions:
System administration; production support; system configuration; software development; testing; documentation; version control; change management; audit controls; system interfaces; data conversion; reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Focuses on business process innovation through technology solutions.
- Works with business representatives to define business requirements and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Interacts with business leaders and the application team to set business process requirements.
- Concentrates on coupling business processes and systems within the EDI and Managed File Transfer, and integration to 3rd Party environments.
- Advises and assists the Company in meeting the requirements of our Customers/Supplier and Trading Partners.
- Works on multiple implementations and projects in various stages of execution.
- Participates in Project Team Meetings to contribute information on current system functionality and make recommendations.
- Identifies areas for improvement in process design, system flow, and can make recommendations for alternative solutions.
- Establishes and maintains working relationships with software partners, solution providers, and users.
- Maintains knowledge of application technology innovations and its applicability to the business.
- Interacts with department leaders to review and discuss application portfolio planning and execution.
- Responsible for adhering to the I.T. policies, procedures, and standards including management change, standardization and the use of our Service Desk ticketing system.
- Stays abreast of new release functionality and development tools that are provided.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Travel as needed to meet objectives.

Educational Experience: Associate’s Degree (Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration)
Minimum Experience: Five or more years of IT application experience with an emphasis on EDI.
Required Skills:
- EDI document standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, VDA, ODETTE) and other structured data formats (XML)
- Experience with EDI Communications, Mapping, Trading Partner Management software – Seeburger, TrustedLink, Gentran, B2B integrators, etc.
- Basic troubleshooting of VAN, AS2, FTP, Web-Services and other communication protocols and services.
- Experience with report writing tools and Label Software
- EDI Mapping and integration methods
- Standard EDI and B2B communication protocols (AS2, sFTP, http) and encryption.
- Trading Partner management and EDI document set up.

- Provide training for users as needed.
- Provide project status reports to the supervisor director as requested.
