In this position, you’ll play a critical role in the AI and data science roadmap. You will spearhead the data architecture and work closely with the rest of the engineering team to build the backbone of our AI features. You will be a thought leader in the assessment and implementation of the most secure and robust AI tools that align with our organizational goals, so we can build forward-looking and intuitive data-driven products for our customers and users.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaboratively design, build and own AI-powered features end-to-end
  • Develop and maintain AI prompts and context designs that support robust, repeatable, powerful use-cases for our end users
  • Develop prompt libraries, templates, and versioning systems using best practices
  • Implement and support evaluation and observability systems for AI-powered features to ensure production quality of AI outputs
  • Collaboratively design and implement data engineering requirements in support of AI-powered features
  • Manage technical debt, data architecture and system scalability in AI-powered features
  • Ensure successful delivery of technical initiatives on time and with high quality
  • A team player working closely with other engineers to deliver on our AI roadmap
  • Contribute to and execute technical roadmaps that balance quick wins with long-term scalability
  • Build monitoring and observability metrics and KPIs to define benchmarks and measure effectiveness of data/AI products and initiatives
  • Ensure data security, compliance, and privacy standards are maintained
  • Implement processes for monitoring, alerting, and incident management
  • Work cross functionally with engineers, QA and product managers
  • Produce high-quality software that is fully tested, code reviewed, and secure
  • Stay on top of technology trends in the industry that might be used to resolve complex business problems
 

What you bring to the team:

 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of building and shipping production software in a cloud environment
  • 3+ years of delivering AI-powered product features
  • 2+ years in data engineering and data infrastructure design
  • Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications (prompting, tool/function calling, structured outputs, etc.)
  • Experience with testing practices appropriate for AI features
  • Strong experience in assessing and implementing different LLM-powered technologies and architectures
  • Strong background in AWS technologies
  • Strong background in software engineering with proficiency in NodeJS and Python
  • Proven track record implementing tech stack tooling and driving best practices
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and T-SQL
  • Familiarity with scrum/agile development methodologies and DevOps tools, including Git
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails platforms is a big plus
  • Strong project management skills with focus on roadmap execution
  • Experience in high growth, SaaS environments
  • Fast learner, analytical thinker, creative, hands-on, strong communication skills
