Located in Merriam, Kansas, the client is a leading food and beverage manufacturing and exporting company serving national and international markets across 30+ countries since 1995. With one processing plant, eight feed mills, and 5500 employees around five states, they produce, process, and supply a wide range of pork products, delivering quality food right from their farms to tables.
The Challenge
1. The client used a legacy technology-backed, complex system to handle their Business As Usual (BAU) operations. This system often crashed and resulted in significant downtime due to a large backlog of unresolved technical issues.
2. The technical issues led to inaccurate cost calculations, impacting billing accuracy and business outcomes, which increased the need for prompt resolution. These issues were reported by business users in the form of problem tickets that needed to be addressed.
3. Most of the internal team's experienced developers had retired, leaving only three professionals to manage these tickets. This left them struggling with operational challenges and delays in addressing longstanding technical issues.
